i get these calls all the time i tell them there scammmers and then hang up

indian man called claiming from windows tech department head office in Adelaide.
When questioned about being a WA number he said that some Adelaide numbers are 08 too.
Said that i wanted to check out first before proceeding, so now reporting SCAM.

Lady named 'Lisa/Leeza' also told me they operate out of Westpac House, 91 King William St Adelaide. She was disappointed that I couldn't give her a time that I'd call her back. She also gave me my 'CMS ID' for my computer.

Female, heavy Asian voice rang. Said she was from PC Support & Services who were monitoring my computer and some garbled message about malware. She wanted me to type a message into Run: eventvwr. My husband was suspicious and I voiced our suspicions. She provided this phone number and tried to give me a CLSI number? My husband googled the number and found this site. She was polite and persistent that she was legit but it sounded dodgy and I just politely finished the call. Unnerving though how easily you could be scammed.

Same as above. Indian guy saying they received errors from my computers. Wanted to access my computer. I hung up and asked for their number. Scam!!!! DO NOT ALLOW THEM ACCESS TO YOUR COMPUTER!!!

i found that these guys are genuine....
they fixed all the problems of my computer.

Just had them call for the third time today. Indian guy claiming to be from Microsoft calling to help fix a problem. Same old story. I asked him for his company ABN and he gave me a four digit number. When I called him a liar and said if he calls again I will report him he hung up very quickly. Bloody scammers - there must be some action that can be taken against these people?

These guys tried to get me to download pgm from a website called www.showmypc.com
so they could supposedly help figure out where the hacker is coming from and to 'upgrade' my license key.

Yes, same complaint. A certain Steward claimed to call from a Microsoft service center in Adelaide. Phone Number was : 0872000370
I told him nicely to jump in the lake.
Just had confirmation from Microsoft : they NEVER call their users.....

Scam Scam, say they are from Microsoft, I called police, typical answer,

I guess if there are no fines to be levied the police are not interested

Computer scam - they say they are the Technical Department for Windows Operating System on behalf of Microsoft. They say there are urgent problems with your computer and their authorised Technicians can fix the problem. They say it is a free service and then they say they can fix it for a fee. They use scare tactics and threaten and become verbally abusive. DO NOT ALLOW THEM ACCESS TO YOUR COMPUTER.

Why is this number still being allowed to call people pretending to be Microsoft???

Surely it is a tracable number and can be shutdown, and the person arrested??

Scam. Indian gentleman saying my Windows computer has a virus. I don't even have a Windows computer! Ignore the call.
