your number is a computer generated number and if you answer, then the computer flags your number as alive and you will continue getting calls. Best way is to add the callers number to your contacts list and then add that number to the reject number list or auto disconnect...what ever your phone has. It works, I have added countless spammer numbers to my reject list and when they call they are disconnected immediately.
I never answer a number unless that number is known to me and is in my friends contact directory!

Relentless phone calls from this number, every time, operator promises to add my number to their DNC register - clearly this never happen. I endeavoured to phone back and speak to a supervisor to express my dissatisfaction, and after 6.05 and 6.03 minutes on hold, the call disconnects after a "goodbye".

This number is always calling my mobile - at least twice a day.
No message ever left.
Can we not shut these people down?

Somehow these frauds have my direct number at work. They call at least once each day at all sorts of times. From other complaints I have read I am lucky that they have not waited to speak to me. How can they be shut down?

Same complaint as other people. These are serial pests, sometimes calling and then hanging up, possibly waiting for you to call back and pay for the privilege of listening to some rubbish by an gentleman of Indian persuasion. It, largely, costs them nothing and is quite widely spread. They call mobile numbers in this way and guess who is paying for it! I also suspect them using same base and different phone numbers.

this number keeps on calliing me at least 2 to 3 times a day and its really nnoying and its kind of a bit staalkerish that someone knows my number and i don't even give my number to anyone

Continuous calls from this number. I pick up, but no one answers. Then they hang up after a few seconds.
